Maintenance Tech
Basic Function:
To analyze and correct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical problems with plant machinery and equipment and maintain same. Dismantle and install machinery and service equipment.
Principle Duties:
o Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of regular and CNC machinery and equipment.
o Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits and equipment using hand tools and testing instruments.
o Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, communication and power circuits.
o Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, etc.
o Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other simple elements of electrical systems.
o Dismantles machinery and replaces defective electrical, electronic or mechanical parts.
o Mounts motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.
o Inspects, installs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of the facility.
o Cuts, bends, threads pipes; fits threaded pipes with adjoining pipe assemblies.
o Performs varied mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, repairing and installing or repairing power shafting, pulleys, hoists, conveyors and other facility equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with Company safety procedures for equipment under power and OSHA requirements.
o Uses hoists, forklift truck or other equipment to move machinery and equipment.
o Where machine guards are not commercially available, makes or repairs machine guards and installs on machinery.
Education and
Experience:
o High School Diploma or GED.
o Good troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
o Must be knowledgeable in industrial electricity (power distribution), and electronics (AC and DC theory, etc.)
o Knowledge of machine controls is preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Be flexible and be a team player.
o Basic mechanical background and ability to use various types of hand and power tools.
o Must be able to read and interpret orders, bills of material, production schedule, etc.
o Must be able to read various precision measuring instruments as required by the job.
o Must be able to read and interpret assembly drawings.
o Must be able to use a decimal equivalent chart and tap drill size chart to determine correct sizes or types of drills and taps to be used in assembly.
o Must be able to write legibly and fill out required reports and forms.
o Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
o Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., twist, turn, climb, stoop, kneel, push loads, pull on pipe wrenches and work in awkward positions.
o Understand KanBan/Scip inventory process.
Physical Demands:
o Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking).
o Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.).
Personal Protective Equipment:
o While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times.
o No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. That could get caught in machines.
Work Environment:
o Mainly a plant environment, with some office exposure.
o Exposed to any number of elements (heat, cold), but none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
MAY BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS REQUESTED, DIRECTED, OR ASSIGNED.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
